What is a Float ball valve
The ball valve is a core part of float shoes. It consists of a hollow sphere (the “ball”) and a seat. When drilling mud or cement slurry is being pumped down the casing, the fluid pressure pushes the ball out of its seat, allowing the fluid to pass through and exit the casing. When the pumping stops, the fluid pressure from below—or the weight of the ball itself—pushes the ball back onto its seat, creating a seal that prevents any fluid from re-entering the casing.

Features of Float ball valve
The check valve body and piston are made of high-strength phenolic resin, offering excellent resistance to high temperatures, wear, oil, and corrosion.
The rubber-coated sealing area of the piston’s spherical head is made from a material that is resistant to high temperatures, wear, and oil, while also being highly elastic with superior sealing performance. The spring is made of tin bronze, providing excellent wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and mechanical properties. All of these materials are easily drillable.
